Cliché or not, January is a great time to set a precedent for better eating habits for the year ahead. Whether you're trying to lose weight or simply eat more healthily, meal prepping is a great habit to get into. This might mean batch-cooking your lunches and dinners once a week, or simply spending half an hour writing a detailed plan for the week ahead on a Sunday evening.

One of the key things to remember is that you don't need to do all the hard work on your own. There are five meal planning apps mentioned in the article, from Mealime to MyFitnessPal, and you can even rely on a meal kit delivery service to do the hard work for you. Mindful Chef is one of my favourites as they offer really high-quality ingredients and have a host of low-carb and vegan options.
